Creating a New Account
Follow this simple procedure:
On the main www.WinDiagnostic.com web page, click on "Create an Account."
Enter your business email address.
Click submit.
WinDiagnostic will send a request acknowledgement email to the address you specify. When you receive this email, simply reply to it. Some time later, we will send you a confirmation email: this email will contain your WinDiagnostic account password.
Note: Since WinDiagnostic uses HTML-formatted email, be sure to check that our emails are not being marked as spam.
Creating Clients for Your Account
You must create one WinDiagnostic client for each PC to be monitored. To create one or more clients, click "Manage Your Account" on the WinDiagnostic Web page. You will be prompted for your userid (your email address) and password (see your account confirmation email). After entering your authorization information, WinDiagnostic will display the "Manage Professional Account" panel.
Select "Add Clients to Account," then click on "Execute Function." Enter the number of clients you desire (one per monitored PC), then click "Submit Request." Your new clients will be active within a few hours.
Installing Clients on PCs
Procedure:
Physically go to the PC where you wish to install WinDiagnostic client software.
Log in to a Windows Administrator Account.
Using a web browser, access www.WinDiagnostic.com and click "Manage Your Account." You will be prompted for your userid (your email address) and your account password (see your new account confirmation email).
Select "Manage Account Clients," then click on the "Execute Function" box. The Manage Account Clients panel will be displayed, listing your clients. Note: If client status is not yet "online," WinDiagnostic has not yet fully-configured your new clients. Please wail until client status is "online" before proceeding.
Determine which client you wish to install, then click the client name in the "Install" column: this will begin a download of the PC installation software.
Execute the PC install module (depending upon your browser, you may first have to save the installation file to disk).
Note: When Using Internet Explorer, a Security Warning message will state, "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software." Respond to this prompt by clicking on "Run."
WinDiagnostic now is installed on the PC!
Note: You should not install the same client name on multiple PCs.
Further Steps
Although WinDiagnostic servers filter out events related to normally-changing system files and Registry keys, your daily reports will contain many file and Registry events that are specific to each client. Should you decide that some of these events are benign and should not be presented in the reports, use the Account Manager's Event Filter Functions to filter out these events.
